Write So AI Actually Quotes You
AI answer engines lift from clear structure and concrete facts — not vibes and not walls of text. Here's how to rewrite a product page so it gets picked.
There's a reason some stores keep getting mentioned by ChatGPT and Perplexity and others never do — and a chunk of it is boringly mechanical.
AI answer engines lift the bits they can extract cleanly: clear headings, bullet lists, and concrete facts. What they skip: one long paragraph of lovely vibes with no actual information in it.
"Ethically made with love" tells the AI nothing. "100% NZ soy wax, 220g, 45-hour burn, ships in 2 days" gives it four things it can quote to a buyer.
You don't need more words. You need the words you have in a shape AI (and a skim-reading human) can grab.
The shape that works
- One-line hook — what it is, who it's for.
- A bulleted spec list — the real numbers. Size, material, weight, time, price.
- A short "is this for you?" — 2 lines, plain.

- Use real headings. No fluff, no "crafted with love". Keep my brand tone but make every line say something specific.

Do this once on your top few products and you've made yourself quotable. That's most of the AI-readability game.
