Your Google Headline Is Blank (Or Just Says 'Home')
Your page title and meta description are the ad Google runs for you, for free. Most stores leave them blank or identical on every page.
Every time your store shows up in Google, two bits of text decide whether anyone clicks: the title (the blue headline) and the meta description (the grey line under it).
That's a free ad. And most stores either leave it blank, let it say "Home", or use the exact same one on every single page.
Google notices duplicates and generic titles, and so do humans deciding which result to tap. A specific title beats a vague one every time.
"Home" is not a headline. "Hand-poured Soy Candles, Made In Tauranga — Kowhai Candles" is.
The quick rules
- Title: unique per page, 15–60 characters, includes what the thing actually is.
- Meta description: 50–160 characters, a real sentence that makes someone want to click. Not keyword soup.
- Never the same title/description on two different pages.

Rules:
- Each title unique, 15–60 characters, says what the page actually is, includes my brand name where it fits.
- Each meta description 50–160 characters, one real sentence that earns a click, in my tone.
- No two the same. No keyword stuffing.
Give it to me as a table: page | title | meta description.
