Is Your Store Sending Customers To Empty Pages?

Empty collections, broken links, sold-out pages your menu still points to. Your customers find them; you usually don't. Here's how to catch them first.

DIY ItPrompt

Your store changes all the time. Collections get retired, products sell out, links get moved. Any of those can leave a link in your menu pointing at an empty page.

You won't spot it, because you know your way around your own store. Your customers don't. They click the obvious thing, land on an empty page, and leave without saying anything.

The shape of it

The prompt clicks every link in your menu and collections — the same links your customers tap on their phones — and lists any that land on an empty page or the wrong place. Share links anywhere else, like your Instagram bio or a Linktree? Paste those in too and it checks them as well.

I run a small online shop: [yourstore.com]

Keep it plain — no jargon, and if a techy word is unavoidable, explain it.

1. Open my website and click every link in my main menu, and every collection those links lead to. If you can, check how it looks on a phone-sized screen too. List any that land on an empty page, a "nothing found", or somewhere that doesn't match the link's name.
2. Also check these links I share elsewhere (Instagram bio, Linktree, emails):
[PASTE THEM — or delete this line]
3. Put everything in one list, from "losing me sales right now" to "tidy up later".
4. Work out what my store runs on. For each one, tell me the simplest fix and where to find it in my store settings, then walk me through the first one step at a time.

If you can't open my site, say so — don't guess.

Where it goes sideways

Deleting the empty page. Old posts, emails and Google still link to it, and those links would break too. Point the old page somewhere useful first — most store platforms call this a redirect — then delete it.

Rather someone else checked and fixed the lot? From $299 AUD, covering up to 10 broken links or empty pages. Fix It
